InfinitX Academy is Hamilton’s specialist mathematics academy, providing high-quality maths education for students from Year 1 to Year 13. Our programmes include early numeracy foundations for Years 0–2, full New Zealand Curriculum teaching for Years 3–10, and advanced preparation for NCEA, IB and Cambridge mathematics for Years 11–13. We also offer training for mathematics competitions such as Scholarship, AMC and Otago Maths, supporting students who wish to extend their learning beyond the classroom. InfinitX Academy has two campuses in Hamilton, located in Hamilton East and Hamilton North, making it easy for families across the city to access professional mathematics support.
At InfinitX Academy, maths is our passion, but our mission goes further. We develop thinkers, problem solvers and future-ready learners who approach challenges with confidence. Y0–2 Early Years Foundation (Maths, English, Chinese, Art)
Our Y0–2 Foundation Programme offers a balanced and engaging learning experience across four key areas: Mathematics, English literacy, Chinese language, and Creative Art. Students develop number sense, reading and phonics skills, early writing, basic Chinese vocabulary, and artistic expression through hands-on activities. The programme nurtures confidence, curiosity, and well-rounded growth, providing a strong academic and creative foundation for future learning.
Y3–10 Mathematics (New Zealand Curriculum & Extension)
Our Y3–10 courses align with the New Zealand Curriculum and support learners in Number, Algebra, Geometry, Measurement, Statistics and Probability. We provide targeted teaching, personalised guidance, and systematic revision that matches each student’s school topic while offering deeper extension for high achievers. Ideal for students wanting better grades, stronger fundamentals, and long-term academic confidence.
Y11–13 Mathematics (NCEA, Cambridge, IB)
We specialise in senior secondary mathematics across NCEA (Level 1–3 & Scholarship), Cambridge (IGCSE, AS/A2), and IB (SL/HL). Classes are designed by expert tutors and include exam-focused teaching, practice papers, worked examples, and personalised feedback. Perfect for students aiming for Merit/Excellence endorsements, university pathways, engineering, science, and commerce degrees.
Y9–13 Numeracy Programme (2 Lessons/Week,20-lesson term programme)
Our Numeracy Programme develops the essential skills required to meet New Zealand’s NCEA Numeracy Co-Requisite. Students strengthen number sense, proportional reasoning, spatial understanding, and the ability to interpret mathematical information in real-life contexts. Each lesson focuses on problem-solving, recognising patterns, understanding relationships between quantities, and explaining reasoning clearly. With two lessons per week and consistent structured practice, students build confidence and capability to meet the numeracy standard and succeed across all senior subjects.
